Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon wheat gluten
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon active-dry yeast
- 2/3 cup lukewarm water
- 2/3 cup milk
- Chia seeds
Special equipment:
- Stand mixer
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl
- Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes
- Put the dough in a well-oiled bowl
- Cover and let rest for 1 hour
- Punch the dough down
- Tear off enough dough to fit the palm of your hand
- Make a round shape
- Flatten each dough ball with a palm press
- Cover the dough balls and let rest for 30 minutes
- Lightly brush some milk over the top of each bun
- Sprinkle chia seeds over each bun
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes
- Serve with your favorite veggie burger
